Incassum formed in September, 2004 when Andrew Snowden and John Curran collaborated with original Guitarist and Bassist; Jim Knights and Dave Mullard respectively. Sharleen Kennedy was brought in for vocal duties and through this lineup, the band recorded the ep: 'I, Destroyer of Worlds' in 2006. The band became a prominent force on the Manchester metal scene, after a succession of explosive shows established them as a fresh young band with bucket loads of potential

With Jim Knights leaving the band in late 2006, Chris Taylor became the new guitarist as Incassum entered 2007 with their sights set on playing bigger venues further afield. They performed across the UK, highlighted with shows in cork and Edinburgh as well as reaching the regional finals of the 2008 Surface Unsigned competition. In February, 2008, The band entered MCC Studios and recorded their debut album, 'In Vain'. Produced by Andy Giblin, the album was released through Casket records and received positive reviews. Through the next few years, Incassum played shows in support of the album

In 2010 Incassum began work on the follow up to 'In Vain' however, late in the year Dave Mullard left the band. The album was delayed whilst auditions took place for a replacement. In March, 2011, it was finally announced that Rick Kershaw would be the new Bassist, as work continues towards the imminant recording of the new album.
